Description:	The Multilingual Egyptological Thesaurus was compiled to serve as a guideline for structuring Egyptological object data and to standardise the terminology used in different languages. In all versions, the numbers of the corresponding terms are the same. It is recommended as a standard by the Comité International pour l'Egyptologie (CIPEG), part of the International Committee of Museums (ICOM/UNESCO). The MET is applied and implemented to the Global Egyptian Museum (GEM -www.globalegyptianmuseum.com).
